Cricket

Cricket is a major sport in the summer term, with P6 and P7 boys playing “hard ball” competitive fixtures against other schools.  With a cricket wicket and nets on site, boys are able to enjoy the facilities six days a week.  The P7 team win the U11 Schools’ Cup regularly (current holders) and have also achieved success in the U12 Cup.  P4 and P5 boys play Kwik Cricket and the House competition provides a huge amount of enjoyable participation for the boys.  We are also fortunate in having the services of the Instonian Cricket Club professional who provides expert coaching to all boys from P1 upwards.

Boys are frequently chosen to represent the NCU squad; this year three boys are members of that squad and are receiving winter coaching.  Several Inchmarlo boys have gone on to represent their country, the most recent being Ben Wylie, who has played for the Irish schoolboys, the U19s and the senior Irish team.
