The Inchmarlo Choir opened the Candlelit Concert at St John's Malone with four boys singing the spine tingling Alleluia with the rest of the choir joining in on Once in Royal David's City. This was just one of the four pieces they performed on the evening.
The concert was dedicated to the memory of Dr Donald Davidson, Organist of St John's for 36 years. Dr Davidson was Head Boy at RBAI.
Noel Thompson introduced the items and gave some background to the musicians and their performances.
Past Inchmarlo and RBAI pupil David McCartney and member of Cappella Caeciliana had put together the programme.
Cappella Caeciliana performed the major part of the concert along with with Rathmore Grammar Girls' Choir and The Queen's University String Octet.
The concert played to a full church including the US Consul General.
Well done to all the boys involved and many thanks to Mrs McMichael conductor and musical director, Miss K O'Hara piano and Mrs J Farrar piano and director of the Allelujah.
